Why This Role Is Valuable 

Your role is to assist in the Finance Transactions – Acquisitions/Disposals activities with the aim to input opening balances into accounting software and provide knowledge transfer to Portfolio accounting team and review completion accounts for the disposal part.

Responsibilities

 

  • Analyze structures of newly acquired projects/potential disposals and scrutinizing their Tax Structure Memorandums;
  • Liaise with the Transactions Team in London about the acquisition’s/disposals and restructurings Funds Flow;
  • Review completion accounts prepared by sellers for acquisitions;
  • Prepare completion accounts and discuss adjustments with buyers for disposals;
  • Look through the bank statements and reconcile Funds Flow with the cash transfers of the incorporations of the entities and of the acquisition/disposal;
  • Review the translation of Funds Flow into journal entries ;
  • Read and correct legal documentations in relation to the acquisitions and disposals;
  • Liaise with the respective Portfolio Accounting Team responsible for the project about the handover of the prepared entities and any acquisition/disposal related questions;
  • Assist the internal team with the year-end reporting and audit processes;
  • Assist during implementation phase of software deployment;
  • Assist with the on-boarding of the newly acquired projects;
  • Assist with the off-boarding of disposal projects;
  • Assist with improving and implementing internal processes relating to the system;
  • Ensure implementation is in line with company policy;
  • Assist in the liquidation process of entities for which their investments have been disposed;
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

What You Bring To The Role

  • Degree in accounting (ACCA or similar);
  • Knowledge of IFRS mandatory;
  • Minimum 4 years relevant professional experience in general operational accounting in Real Estate area (audit experience is an advantage), including financial accounting, administration and year-end audit & reporting processes;
  • Fluency in English (verbally and in writing) is a compulsory requirement as there is a very high exposure to our London Acquisition and Finance Team – any other languages is an advantage;
  • Ability to adapt communication skills to convey complex ideas;
  • Proficient user of MS Office, high level especially in Excel;
  • Yardi knowledge is an advantage;
  • Excellent organisation skills;
  • Analytical mind-set and logical thinking
  • Fast learner;
  • Goal oriented and hands on mentality;
  • Ability to work independently yet cooperatively and always with professionalism;
  • Team player, ready to take initiatives;
  • Able to multitask on a daily basis.
