This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in various cross-border transactions across multiple jurisdictions. This role is ideal for someone eager to navigate the complexities of international taxation while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conducting in-depth research and providing in-house tax advice on implementation of acquisitions, financings, restructurings, refinancings, investment disposals, and cash distributions.
  • Managing projects by coordinating with external advisors and portfolio companies to facilitate implementation of foreseen transactions.
  • Collaborating with Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Tax team members to review legal documents, accounting treatment, and fund flows as part of analysis.
  • Evaluating cash repatriation strategies for various European entities while ensuring adherence to relevant tax regulations.
  • Managing tax audits by liaising with external legal and tax advisors across various European jurisdictions.
  • Developing and delivering international tax training sessions for internal teams.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as needed, including maintaining databases and tracking key documentation.

Qualifications

What You Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor Degree in Tax Law, Accounting or Finance or equivalent; LL.M. or Master’s Degree is considered as an asset;
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar position, ideally in Real Estate Fund industry;
  • Growth mindset, curiosity and enthusiasm for business related matters;
  • Willingness to lead on projects;
  • Resilience for process improvement and efficiencies;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal efficiently with people at different levels of hierarchy;
  • High sense of organization and detail-orientation;
  • Sense of ownership, accountability and urgency;
  • Solution oriented approach/problem-solving aptitude;
  • Ability to work independently but also be an excellent team player;
  • Proficiency with MS Office standard applications;
  • Fluent in English, French or German would be an advantage.
