Your role is to prepare high quality financial reporting and information for an open ended European Real Estate Fund sponsored by The Blackstone Group.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of Group statutory and contractual financial reporting obligations including drafting of annual and semi-annual consolidated financial statements and notes to consolidated financial statements prepared under IFRS and/or Lux GAAP;
  • Prepare monthly consolidations/combinations for the Group’s diverse Real Estate investment portfolio, domiciled across Europe in regulated and unregulated vehicles;
  • Support internal and external finance teams with intra-GAAP conversions, purchase price allocation entries and other material transactional activity;
  • Assist with the preparation of IFRS and/or Lux GAAP consolidated and/or stand-alone financial statements (or other basis of accounting) for the Luxembourg domiciled holding companies;
  • Responsible for preparing journal entries for consolidation adjustments;
  • Facilitate timely and accurate monthly and quarterly closes and review of accounting records;
  • Oversight of support team based outside Luxembourg, ensuring alignment with team objectives, effective communication and timely deliverables;
  • Assist with the Group and local audit requests;
  • Support improvement initiatives for reporting processes;
  • Prepare ad hoc reports / reconciliations.

Qualifications

What You Bring To The Role

  • 2-4 years’ experience in financial reporting in accordance with a major accounting framework (IFRS, US GAAP, LuxGAAP) / audit;
  • Degree in finance/accounting & audit or accounting certification;
  • Familiarity with intercompany reconciliations throughout investment structure;
  • Understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow dynamics, and fluency in general accounting principles and rules;
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, while also taking initiative and working independently with minimal supervision;
  • Fluent in English (verbally and in writing) – any other language is an advantage;
  • Proficient user of MS Office, any other accounting software is an advantage;
  • Skilled in navigating dynamic and evolving environments, adapts easily to change while managing daily responsibilities autonomously;
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements;
  • Able to prioritise and manage several competing deadlines;
  • An analytical, creative thinker who can focus on the details without losing sight of the big picture.
