Your role is to prepare high quality financial reporting and information for an open ended European Real Estate Fund sponsored by The Blackstone Group.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of Group statutory and contractual financial reporting obligations including drafting of annual and semi-annual consolidated financial statements and notes to consolidated financial statements prepared under IFRS and/or Lux GAAP;
  • Prepare monthly consolidations/combinations for the Group’s diverse Real Estate investment portfolio, domiciled across Europe in regulated and unregulated vehicles;
  • Responsible for preparing journal entries for consolidation adjustments;
  • Support internal and external finance teams with intra-GAAP conversions and other material transactional activity;
  • Assist with the preparation of IFRS and/or Lux GAAP stand-alone financial statements for the Luxembourg domiciled holding companies;
  • Facilitate timely and accurate monthly and quarterly closes and review of accounting records;
  • Oversight of support team based outside Luxembourg, ensuring alignment with team objectives, effective communication and timely deliverables;
  • Assist with the Group and local audit requests;
  • Design, implement, maintain and enforce processes and controls to assure accurate financial
    data;
  • Develop and improve existing models and metrics, while building and introducing new analytical tools that enhance insight and efficiency in the review process (e.g. in Power BI, Sigma, Excel);
  • Collaborate with all departments across the company to enhance and support improvement initiatives for reporting processes;
  • Prepare ad hoc reports / reconciliations.

Qualifications

What You Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Accounting, Audit or Finance;
  • 5+ years’ of relevant professional experience in accounting, financial reporting or audit - Real estate experience is considered as an advantage;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and Lux GAAP;
  • Fluent in English (verbally and in writing) – any other major European language is an advantage;
  • Proficient user of MS Office - knowledge of Power BI and similar applications is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of any accounting software is an asset (e.g. Yardi);
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, while also taking initiative and working independently with minimal supervision;
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements;
  • Able to prioritize and manage several competing deadlines;
  • Skilled in navigating dynamic and evolving environments, adapts easily to change while managing daily responsibilities autonomously;
  • Result oriented and hands-on-work mentality;
  • An analytical, creative thinker who can focus on the details without losing sight of the big picture.
