Why This Role Is Valuable 

 

The Senior Associate Vice President (SAVP) – Investment Accounting and Reporting owns critical, complex, and cross‑portfolio investment accounting and controlling scopes, with primary accountability for complex controlling matters, across Revantage Europe. The role acts as a technical authority, standardsetter, and quality gate for complex analyses, reporting, and controls, while serving as a trusted business partner to Asset Management, Acquisitions, Tax, and external stakeholders. The SAVP anticipates downstream reporting, regulatory, and governance implications, leads complex initiatives endtoend, and is recognised internally and externally as a trusted expert.

 

Responsibilities

Portfolio & Financial Accounting Oversight

  • Own critical and complex portfolio‑level accounting and controlling areas across multiple entities and structures.
  • Act as a formal quality gate for analysis, reporting, and key controls delivered by portfolio teams and third‑party administrators
  • Exercise independent judgement on complex accounting matters, including:
    • Bank and cash positions and reconciliations
    • Accruals, provisions, and judgement‑heavy estimates
    • Interest, amortization, and depreciation schedules
  • Lead oversight of month‑end close processes, including entity‑level and intercompany governance.
  • Review and sign off on statutory financial statements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and portfolio alignment

 

 Reporting, Compliance & Regulatory Matters

  • Oversee and challenge periodic reporting outputs, including management reporting and cash flow forecasting
  • Proactively anticipate downstream implications of accounting and controlling decisions across reporting, audit, regulatory, tax, and financing dimensions
  • Ensure robust documentation, controls, and governance standards are maintained for audit and regulatory purposes
  • Provide senior oversight of financial information prepared for lenders, financing partners, and other external stakeholders

 

Year-End, Audit & Tax Coordination

  • Lead complex year‑end closing and audit processes, providing senior‑level oversight and resolution of judgemental matters.
  • Oversee preparation and review of:
    • Annual Statutory Accounts
    • Annual US tax reporting packages
  • Act as a senior liaison with tax advisors and auditors, ensuring accounting treatment and investment structures are appropriately reflected.
  • Ensure alignment of portfolio data with group consolidation and reporting requirements

 

Business Partnership & Strategic Support

  • Provide senior financial insight and analysis to:
    • Asset Management teams (performance, cash flows, portfolio monitoring)
    • Acquisitions teams (financial data, transaction support, due diligence inputs)
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support investment lifecycle activities, from acquisition through stabilisation and exit
  • Deliver high-quality ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making

 

Leadership, Governance & Process Improvement

  • Provide functional leadership and technical guidance to junior portfolio accounting team members, support coaching and development
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex accounting, reporting and judgemental issues
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including:
    • Enhancements to financial reporting processes
    • Standardisation and documentation
    • Efficiency, automation and control improvements
  • Manage relationships with third-party administrators and finance teams across Europe, ensuring service quality and alignment with internal standards
  • Contribute to and lead cross-functional and ad hoc finance projects as required

Qualifications

What You Bring To The Role 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Accounting certifications preferred (e.g., CPA)
  • At least 10 years’ accounting/finance experience with a major accounting framework (IFRS, LUX/US GAAP)
  • Fluent in English and with a minimum intermediate level of Spanish
  • Strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to assess and resolve complex issues
  • Strong knowledge of Real Estate accounting - Luxembourgish market is preferred 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across Finance, Tax, Asset Management and external partners
  • Ability to operate with autonomy, judgement and accountability in a multi-entity environment
  • Proven capability to mentor and develop junior professionals
  • Mindset focused on governance, quality and continuous improvement rather than task execution
